Man Only Gets One Day Off A Week From Work; What He Dedicates It To Is Truly Inspirational

Andrew Lumish is a speciality cleaner who works extremely hard six days out of the week. On his only day off, Lumish spends his time at a cemetery. The big question here is: Why?

Most people would assume he is visiting a late family member or friend, but in reality– Lumish is paying respect to Veterans, who sacrificed their lives to keep our nation safe, by throughly  cleaning their tombstones.

For quite some time, Lumish noticed that the fallen soldiers had moss covering most of their headstones and that didn’t settle well with him. He told BoredomBash:

“Something bothered me about it. Their final resting places were total disasters. They’d been neglected from the time they’d been buried. If people can’t read it at all, they can’t celebrate it, they can’t honor that person, they can’t appreciate that person.”

He continued:

“Whereas if you properly restore the monuments, you can begin an entire conversation, and potentially – in a figurative sense – bring that person back to life. Some of these guys, who some consider heroes, would leave their wife for another woman, and leave six kids. It’s a war hero who won a medal of honor for serving in the Civil War and was thrown in jail for not paying child support… It’s like the Real Housewives of 1985.”

Watch Lumish’s incredible story, here:

Props to Andrew Lumish for honorary our Veterans – such an incredible act of respect and kindness. Surely, the world needs more of this.
