Bill Cosby’s bond was set at $1 million after he was arraigned on a felony charge of aggravated indecent assault on Wednesday in a Pennsylvania court. An arrest warrant was issued for the 78-year old after authorities made a decision to reopen a criminal investigation into accusations filed by Andrea Constand nearly 12 years ago.
A civil suit filed against The Cosby Show star maintaining that January he drugged and sexually assaulted her at his mansion, but the case was settled out of court. On Wednesday afternoon, Cosby was arraigned before a magistrate in Elkins Park, where bond was set by the court official at $1 million. For booking only minutes after, Cosby was taken. “Seeing him officially charged and being forced to face a trial is the best Christmas present they’ve ever received,” she said during a La press conference held at that period of the performer’s arraignment.
