I will admit, I was unaware of how much animals love music. And I mean genuinely love it.
Music has a special effect on us humans. For example, after a very stressful day at work, I like to unwind by sitting in my living room with my favorite tunes playing in the background. Even when I am commuting from home to work, and then back, you’ll see me bobbing my head to my favorite song—how else am I supposed to kill time during an hour-long bus ride?
Music doesn’t just affect us, humans, because the same goes for animals. I’ve seen a lot of my friends’ pets enjoying some alone time with their favorite sounds—my friend’s dog enjoys every Drake song! Just like dogs, cats, and other household pets that have exposure to music, the horses in the video below also like what they hear.
Michael Telapary is at the Animu Luce horse farm in Belgium. He decides to some melodious notes on a High Spirits Contra Bass Flute, to the horses that he’s with. There are several horses at the farm that day, and it’s amazing to see their reactions to the sounds of the instrument.
First and foremost, Michael sure has a way with this flute because the sounds are beautiful, but we’re not the only ones who think that. By their reaction, the horses are enjoying Michael playing the instrument as well.
Have you ever had animals listen to music and observed their reaction? We’d love to hear about it in the comments below!
In the meantime, watch the horses in the video and don’t forget to like and share this post with family and friends.
